A very powerful aspect in considering vertical wind turbine for home use is how many different places they will work for you. They can fit in a lot more places than horizontal devices.
One reason vertical wind turbines are so easy to place in a variety of different home environments is they are more accepted by communities and neighborhood associations. 3. On top of a tower - without a doubt installing your vertical wind turbine on top of a tower at least 30 feet above the highest obstacle is the best place of all. Actually, this will be the best place for any wind turbine. The reason for that is that is where the wind is always going to be the strongest and the most consistent. Finally, it is easy to find multiple places to install a vertical wind turbine for home use. There are much more flexible than a horizontal device and way more pluses than minuses.
Location is everything when it comes to making money with wind energy. Especially if you live or work in a big city where your options are limited anyway. The vertical wind turbine will be just the ticket there. Having the option of locating multiple of these units on a roof will be the difference between being able to use or not use renewable energy in cities.
