The home wind turbine has been around for a long time. Probably as long ago as of thousand years, these devices have powered grain production facilities and small water pumps.
Taking advantage of the renewable energy that the sun offers is nothing new either. As a matter-of-fact, ancient civilizations did a lot better job at this than we do now.
These are the reasons that I feel the home wind turbine is here to stay…
First and foremost, we are running out of raw materials to make electricity from in central power plants. The model that was originally envisioned when electricity was first offered in cities and towns across the country, was basically home or community-based energy production. There were small utilities that were popping up almost at the neighborhood level. The streets around some towns became so cluttered with wires though, that the local governments got together and formed organizations to centralize power production and have some control over the wires over our heads and the people that work in making electricity.
The reason this is important is centralization was a great idea back when it was originally conceived. The idea of home power production though from devices like home wind turbine equipment is nothing new. It was the original concept and now we have changed it to give authority to utilities to make our power for us.
Our base nature tells us we need to make our energy ourselves and be independent of these large central utility companies. They are not doing a great job of staying on top of new raw materials to use in those power plants and make fuel. They have bungled nuclear energy for the most part and the promise of nuclear energy to form a future where we would pay very little for our electricity.
What is the solution?
The power that we make needs to be made at home. There is just too much renewable energy in the form of wind and sun floating around our houses every day for us to ignore it any longer. This is the perfect interim solution until we can come up with something better and cheaper.
In summary, there's just no substitute for the home wind turbine. It's not that the when devices are so great, but it is so that we have no choice because of the offerings now made by companies that produce energy are just not strong enough to carry the day any longer.
