Of course having a battery pack will make a big difference because you can store that energy and use it later, but the problem is when you add a battery pack you are more than doubling the cost of the project.

There are several ways that you can take advantage of electricity that you harvest from the wind…

In summary, batteries are very nice additions to a residential wind turbine project. While they do add a tremendous amount of cost, they can be the difference between a mediocre and a tremendous payback for you.
