The Windspot home wind turbine kit allows you to power part or all of the power to your home for free! Well, not exactly for free because you have to buy the wind turbine first, but after that is done, all you have to do is watch your electricity bills go down.
It is uncommon for a single wind turbine to power everything in your home, but it certainly will supply a third to half of your monthly requirement - depending on how consistent and powerful the wind happens to be in your area.

Wind turbines are by and large not that difficult to put together - it is the installation that can be a bit tricky. It is not easy but certainly doable if you are willing to get others involved - namely a mechanical contractor and an electrical contractor to do the heavy lifting and tie-in to your home's electrical systems.
If you like do it yourself projects, a home wind turbine kit will be a very rewarding one for you. Once it is set up, you can turn it over to the pros and let them anchor it to your roof or mount it on a tower. Tie-in to your home by a licensed electrical contractor will assure that your local utility's regulations are followed.
What are the pitfalls with a Windspot?
This is not specific to the Windspot turbine but often people feel that because a wind turbine has the word "kit" in the title that it is like a model airplane. Just open the box, apply some glue and you are about done…not so with a wind turbine. To have a pleasant experience, you will need to have a professional install the system.
What distinguishes this product from its competitors?
This is a beautiful turbine - looks like the nosecone of a WWII fighter plane, so very aesthetically pleasing and nice to look at.
The biggest advantage of course is that it's modular - all the components are pre-installed in the turbine housing.
What are the alternatives?
