No matter whether you are a workout fiend or whether you've been on the sidelines for a while, having access to a fitness watch will really send your workout effectiveness into the stratosphere. Most people nowadays think about getting back into shape.

Although many been working out for years, there are a number of us who are just constantly thinking about how they need to get back to the gym and work out. It really doesn't matter where you find yourself, having a fitness watch will supply motivation that you never knew you had within you to start making a difference ASAP.

Most everyone is worked out at some point in their lives. So, everyone's familiar with how difficult it is to stay on track with your exercise. It is so easy to sit around the gym and talk or simply be off of your objectives and not make the best use of your time there. Enter the fitness watch.

Having this type of watch will allow you to really target exactly what heart rate you want to be at for your entire workout. Before going any further though you need to calculate what your heart rate zones for exercise.

The way to do that is to begin with calculating what your maximum heart rate should be. The number men use is 220 minus their age and women used 206 minus their age. Once you have your maximum heart rate you can then calculate what your fitness target zone should be. After you have been working out for a while you should still not get out of the 60-85% bandwidth. When you're starting though it's okay to dip down and begin at about 50%.

It doesn't really do you any good to push it harder than 85% though. The best cardiovascular and fat burning zone is 60 - 85% of your maximum heart rate. Pushing it over 85% puts you at risk for developing both cardiovascular and muscular skeletal problems. Once you establish these numbers, your fitness watch kicks in. By having it on at all times as your working out will keep you motivated to stay within this zone.

You know what your target heart rate should be during the workout and therefore looking at the watch as your working out will give you feedback as to whether or not you are meeting that objective. In conclusion, a fitness watch is almost a necessity if you're working out in the gym these days. It's pointless to go in and just "workout".
