The fossil fuels that we now use to make electricity, drive our cars, etc. are a finite resource. They were created of course through the decay of ancient life forms and took millennia to get into the form in which we now use them.

But, that fuel is running out. Sure, there is sporadic news of new "finds", but we all know that eventually we have to move to something else to power our homes.

As turbine kits become more popular their prices will abate and they will become even more popular. When that happens, the parts of the country where the wind is less and they are now difficult to justify will all of a sudden become popular for home wind power generation.

The more of our electricity we manufacture at home, the less that has to be made in a power plant and the more we will be slowing down the eventual total depletion of fossil fuels.
